A man fleeing a Florence construction site, where he shot at workers on Monday, fired his rifle again when he was pulled over by deputies, a Pinal County sheriff's official said.

Danny Davis, 53, of Florence told deputies he "was angry about the minorities working in the area," said Tamra Ingersoll, spokeswoman for the Pinal County Sheriff's Office.

"Davis showed obvious signs of alcohol impairment as he was taken into custody," she said.

No one was injured in the shootings.

Davis was booked into the Pinal County jail and is facing one count of attempted first-degree murder and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
