A man was found dead on the front yard of a home on Tucson’s south side early this morning, police say.

The man was identified as Juan Ramon Amarillas-Martinez, 43.

He was in a front yard of a house in the 300 block of West Aviation Drive, near South Sixth Avenue and West Ajo Way, Sgt. Maria Hawke, a Tucson police spokeswoman said in a news release.

Amarillas-Martinez had signs of trauma and is being investigated as a homicide, she said.

Tucson firefighters called police after they found the body after being called to the home for a report of a “man down,” police say.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
