A 38-year-old man has been indicted in connection with an October 2011 road rage incident where he allegedly fired a gun at an occupied car in an Oro Valley Walmart parking lot.

Blass Delmissier Gonzales was indicted on one count of drive-by shooting, a felony offense, on Monday, Lt. Kara Riley, a spokeswoman for the Oro Valley Police Department said in a news release.

On October 19, 2011 a woman and her children were driving in the Walmart parking lot at 7951 N. Oracle Road when she was cut off by a man in a black Volkswagen, according to Arizona Daily Star archives.

Both cars continued traveling on Magee Road and when they got to the intersection at Northern Avenue, the man made an offensive gesture and shot once through the car’s passenger-side window.

The round exited through the driver’s window.

Nobody was injured by the bullet, but glass from the broken windows was lodged in the driver’s arm.

Police received information that linked Gonzales to the case and led to to his arrest in April.
