The body of a man was discovered late Friday afternoon on the far southwest side, authorities said.
The body was found about a half-hour before sunset, wrapped in fabric. The man appeared to have died under suspicious circumstances, said Deputy Thomas Peine, a Pima County Sheriff's Department spokesman.
Sheriff's deputies were led to the body by a woman whose dog had come across it while the woman was walking her child and the dog west of Ryan Airfield, Peine said.
The body was found near the intersection of West Ajo Highway and South Postvale Road, about four miles west of Ryan Airfield, Peine said.
He said the man hadn't been identified. It wasn't known how long the body had been there, Peine said.
