A 22-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run in the community of Catalina Tuesday, authorities said.

The victim was identified as Jacob Lee Wyckoff, said Deputy Tom Peine, a Pima County Sheriff's Department spokesman.

Deputies were sent to the 15400 block of North Twin Lakes Drive at 7:36 a.m. for a report of a man down. Deputies found Wyckoff deceased, lying on the dirt shoulder off the road against a fence.

Traffic investigators determined he had been struck by a vehicle traveling south on Twin Lakes that headed onto the opposite side of the road where the victim was found, Peine said.

The vehicle was identified as a black Ford F-150 quad cab truck, which was located less than a mile north of the incident. Soon after, deputies arrested Andrew R. Perez, 24, who is facing a charge of leaving the scene of an accident involving death, Peine said. He was booked into Pima County jail.
