A man wanted in connection with the slayings of two young men outside a party on Tucson’s east side was arrested Wednesday in Detroit.

Tucson police identified Antajuan Stewart Carson Jr. as a suspect in the Oct. 11 shooting in the 7900 block of Senate Street, near South Pantano and East Golf Links roads.

A felony arrest warrant was issued for Carson, 18, for two counts of second-degree murder and one count of aggravated assault.

He was apprehended by the U.S. Marshals Service at a family member’s house in Detroit, Sgt. Maria Hawke, a Tucson police spokeswoman said in a news release.

Police determined that the night of the shooting, a fight broke out in front of a house where about 50 people were attending a party, and gunfire erupted.

Police said 18-year-old Stanford Bell was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim, Javohn Milne, 20, was taken to a hospital, where he died a short time after arriving. A third victim was shot and had serious injuries.Carson will remain incarcerated in Detroit pending his extradition to Pima County.
