FLORENCE - An off-duty Arizona Department of Public Safety officer was arrested at a bar at Country Thunder.

The Pinal County Sheriff's Office says 41-year-old Steven Svestka of Show Low was escorted out of the bar after he refused to leave the women's restroom area at the country-music festival and showed signs of intoxication during the Saturday-night incident.

According to the Sheriff's Office, Svestka purposely bumped into other patrons and was arrested charges of disorderly conduct and hindering a government operation after he refused to calm down.

Svestka did not immediate respond to a request for comment.

DPS spokesman Bart Graves says Svestka remains on duty.

According to Graves, the DPS is waiting to receive Pinal County's arrest report but says Svestka likely faces an internal investigation.
