More than $1 million worth of marijuana hidden in a shipment of charcoal was seized at a Nogales port of entry on Friday, officials said.

A tractor-trailer rig coming through the Mariposa Commercial Facility was x-rayed by Customs and Border Protection officers who found more than 2,000 pounds of marijuana hidden among bags of charcoal.

The 44-year-old driver of the rig, a Mexican national, was arrested and turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
