A 46-year-old man was killed Friday morning when his pickup truck crashed into a utility pole.

Just before 6:30 a.m. a pickup truck driven by Ken Josephson crashed into a utility pole on North Country Club Road near East Third Street. Josephson - the sole occupant - was taken to a hospital, where he died, said Sgt. Chris Widmer, spokesman for the Tucson Police Department.

The truck was northbound on Country Club when it drifted across the southbound lanes, jumped the curb and hit a wooden utility pole, Widmer said.
