Tucson police are asking the public for help in identifying a man who robbed a Wells Fargo bank branch Thursday.

Shortly after 2 p.m., a man handed a teller a note demanding money and threatening harm at the Wells Fargo inside Bashas' grocery store at 3275 N. Swan Road, said Sgt. Chris Widmer, a Tucson police spokesman.

He ran from the store after receiving an undisclosed amount of money, Widmer said. He said no one was injured.

The robber, who was captured on a surveillance camera, was in his mid-20s. He was about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighed about 170 pounds.

The man had long sideburns. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, dark jeans and a black-and-red baseball cap.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
