The National Park Service is asking the public for help in identifying a person of interest in connection with thefts from vehicles at Saguaro National Park West.

A woman captured in a photo may have information regarding break-ins into unattended vehicles in late February and early March, said Andy Fisher, a Saguaro National Park spokeswoman.

"We are asking for our community's assistance to identify this person of interest so that the perpetrator of this crime is held accountable," said Chief Ranger Paul Austin.

He said visitors should lock their vehicles and not leave valuables inside their cars.

Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call the park's anonymous tip line at 733-8600.
