Tucson police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two people linked to an aggravated assault at a south-side Circle K in October.
On Oct. 25 shortly before 11 p.m., a man entered the Circle K at 5680 S. Campbell Ave., took items and left the store without paying for them, police said.
Security guards confronted the man outside the store, and the confrontation turned into a struggle. A woman who was sitting in a silver minivan, pulled out a handgun and threatened to shoot the guards if they did not release the man, police said.
The woman then pointed the gun at a guard and pulled the trigger twice, but the gun did not fire, police said.
The guards released the man, and he climbed into the van and left with the woman and another man who was also a passenger, police said.
A surveillance camera captured video of the man when he was inside the store.
He was described as 20 to 30 years of age, about 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing between 210 and 230 pounds.
The woman was described as also between 20 to 30 years old. No further description of her was released.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
