The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is looking for three men in connection with a robbery of a woman outside of a Walmart on the southwest side.

At about 10 p.m. Aug. 12 a woman was putting her groceries into her vehicle at the Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market, 2823 W. Valencia Road, when a man approached from behind and took her purse, Deputy Jesus Bañuelos, a sheriff’s spokesman, said in a news release.

There was a brief struggle but the man was able to take the purse and he threw it into a blue Dodge Avenger occupied by two men, he said. The robber ran away.

Deputies searched for the three but were unable to find them, Bañuelos said.

Robbery detectives learned that the woman’s credit card was used at a convenience store.

Investigators were able to get surveillance photos of the robber and two possible accomplices.

Anyone with information can call 911 or 88-CRIME.
