South Tucson police are asking for the public's help to find a person suspected of shooting a man early Tuesday morning.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired near South Eight Avenue and West 30th Street around 3:45 a.m. and found a man lying in an alley with gunshot wounds, Lt. Jeff Inorio, a South Tucson Police Department spokesman said in a news release.

The man had injuries that were not life threatening, the release said.

Several small caliber shell casings were found at the scene, the release said.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
