Officers responded to a report of shots fired near South Eight Avenue and West 30th Street around 3:45 a.m. and found a man lying in an alley with gunshot wounds, Lt. Jeff Inorio, a South Tucson Police Department spokesman said in a news release.

The man had injuries that were not life threatening, the release said.

Several small caliber shell casings were found at the scene, the release said.
