A SUV crashed into an Oro Valley home Friday morning after the driver ran a stop sign and hit another vehicle, officials said.
A 76-year-old woman was driving a 2003 Honda CRV about 11 a.m. when she hit a 2004 Ford Escape stopped at the intersection of East Ganymede and North Cassiopeia drives, said Oro Valley Police spokeswoman Lt. Kara Riley.
The impact sent the CRV crashing into the front of a home in the 1500 block of Ganymede.
A woman inside the home was unhurt and neither driver was injured, officials said.
Police believe the elderly driver may have stepped on the accelerator instead of the brakes. The woman was cited for failure to stop.
