A Tucson man was arrested on suspicion of downloading and distributing child pornography on the Internet, police said.

Jessvan Hernandez, 29, is facing four counts of sexual exploitation of a child. Hernandez is also under investigation for suspicion of sexually abusing children, police said Tuesday.

An investigation began in February into the downloading and sharing of child sex images and videos, Sgt. Chris Widmer, a Tucson police spokesman, said in a news release.

The investigation led detectives to a home in the 1400 block of North Highland Ave., where a search warrant was served March 28.

Detectives determined Hernandez was downloading the pornography, Widmer said. He has been booked into the Pima County jail.

Widmer said police also believe Hernandez, who works as a masseuse, may have sexually abused several children in the last five years. Detectives believe they have located all the reported victims. No sexual-abuse charges have been filed, but the investigation is continuing, Widmer said.

Anyone with information about Hernandez is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME (882-7463).
