A 32-year-old Tucson man suspected of luring a minor for sexual purposes was arrested Tuesday.
Tucson police detectives began investigating suspicious posts made by Mohomad Rishard Packeer on the Internet in October, Sgt. Chris Widmer, a Tucson police spokesman, said in a news release.
During their investigation, detectives began communicating with Packeer who thought he was conversing with a 14-year-old girl, the release said.
Packeer arranged to meet with the “girl” for sexual purposes, the release said.
When Packeer arrived at the meeting location, he was arrested.
Packeer is facing charges of one count each of luring a minor for sexual exploitation, attempted sexual conduct with a minor and unlawful age misrepresentation.
He was booked into the Pima County jail.
