A woman was arrested Thursday in connection to a homicide case on the city's west side, police said.

Michelle Marie Price, 39, was arrested on a charge of second-degree murder in the death of Linda Daley, 65, said Sgt. Chris Widmer, a Tucson Police Department spokesman.

Price was already in the Pima County jail on an unrelated crime, Widmer said.

Police would not release further information about what led detectives to Price, including if the two women knew each other.

On Nov. 21, police responded to a check welfare call in the 1800 block of West Pueblo Vista Boulevard, just north of "A" Mountain.

A neighbor checking on Daley found Daley lying in a pool of blood inside the home, Widmer said. Daley was pronounced dead at the scene, he said.

Two injured dogs were also found inside the house, said Widmer.
