A man was found dead inside a mobile home in midtown Sunday morning.

A neighbor who smelled a “suspicious” odor went into the home in the 300 block of East Pastime Road, near East Roger Road and North Stone Avenue, found the body and called 911, said Tucson Police Department spokesman Sgt. Chris Widmer.

Because the man had obvious signs of trauma and “suspicious circumstances” the man’s death is being investigated as a homicide, Widmer said.

Detectives believe the man was dead in the home for at least a week.

Police have not determined if the man lived in the home or what his connection to the home was, Widmer said.

No other information was immediately available.
