A 49-year-old Tucson man was arrested Sunday, accused of having sexual contact with a boy on a cruise ship, federal authorities said.
Todd Eric Nordahl faces charges of sexual contact with a minor while in the special maritime and territorial jurisdiction of the United States, said federal attorney Kenneth Magidson of the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Southern District of Texas.
Nordahl was taken into custody after the cruise ship returned to port.
According to a criminal complaint, on March 27 Nordahl engaged in sexual contact with a 15-year-old boy after giving him alcohol on board the Mariner of the Seas while in international waters.
A Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines security officer contacted the FBI to report the allegations, according to an FBI news release.
