A Tucson woman indicted on a first-degree murder charge in the shooting death of a man outside a north-side Eegee's pleaded guilty Monday to attempted hindering prosecution.

Priscilla Carolina Rodriguez, 20, could be placed on probation or get a prison term of up to two years when sentenced April 10.

On Sept. 26, two vehicles pulled into the parking lot of the Eegee's, 3872 N. Oracle Road, and a fight broke out. A man pulled out a gun and killed Jose Carlos Gonzales, 29.

Jovon Luis Mankel, 23, was taken into custody on Oct. 1 after detectives identified him as the shooter. On Oct. 11, Mankel, Rodriguez, Selina Acosta and an unidentified person were indicted on first-degree murder charges. No trial date has been set yet.

Rodriguez was also charged with possessing oxycodone for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia and hindering prosecution, but those charges were dismissed as a result of her guilty plea.
