One man and two women were wounded early Tuesday in a car-to-car shooting on Tucson’s northwest side, officials said.

Just after 2 a.m. deputies responded to a shooting on West Ina Road near North Shannon Road where they found a white car into a pole, said Deputy Dawn Barkman, a Pima County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman.

The white car crashed into a utility pole after the driver was shot and lost control, Barkman said.

The man and one woman were shot and taken to a hospital by a passerby, she said. Crews took the other woman to a hospital, and all are expected to survive, she said.

Witnesses told deputies a dark box-like sport-utility vehicle was seen driving up to the car and firing at the three passengers, before leaving the scene, Barkman said.

It is unknown if the people in the white car fired back, she said.
