1913: The U.S. District Court awards 100,000 remaining acres of the Baca Float grant in southern Arizona to the heirs of the original grant.

1939: "Cisco Kid" production is planned in Tucson. Cesar Romero to be the star of motion picture, which will be the third brought to this area within a period of six months.

1954: University of Arizona men's basketball head coach, Fred Enke, records his 500th career victory in his 30th season as Arizona upsets Kansas State, 86-81.
