A woman who died after her car crashed through a guardrail on Tucson’s southwest side Sunday morning has been identified at Minnie Richardson.

Richardson, 71, crashed about 7:30 a.m. on West Irvington at South Mission roads after a witness said she had run two red lights, hit a curb and a bus stop sign while traveling about 15 miles per hour, Deputy Tom Peine said in a news release.

She was taken to a hospital after the wreck and died later in the day. It is believed Richardson suffered a medical episode prior to the crash, Peine said.
