The Tucson Jazz Institute's spring concert will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Christ Community Church, 7801 E. Kenyon Drive.

The concert will feature five big bands and three combos performing short interludes. The TJI Ellington Big Band will have just returned from competing at the Essentially Ellington Jazz Festival in New York City and will perform.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students and seniors. Children younger than 12 get in free.

Tickets are available online at www.TucsonCommunityMusicSchool.com and at the door the day of the concert.

The event will include a raffle and silent auction, and food will be available for purchase.

Proceeds will benefit Tucson Community Music School Foundation scholarship and travel funds.

On Saturday, TCMS parents are holding a rummage sale from 7 a.m. to noon at Rocco's Little Chicago Pizzeria, 2707 E. Broadway.
