Rincon Valley Market revs up for Cinco

The Rincon Valley Farmers Market will celebrate Cinco de Mayo a day early with its 12th annual festival Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The market, at 12500 E. Old Spanish Trail, will be filled with special entertainment along with food, local produce, and arts and crafts for sale.

Admission is free.

Tree dedication planned at park

Join Tucson Clean and Beautiful for a tree dedication ceremony from 11 a.m. to noon May 10 at Pantano River Park, at Michael Perry Park, 8700 E. Arbor St.

The 59 trees to be dedicated were purchased by Tucson-area residents, honoring friends and family.

Over the next several years, 570 trees will be added along the Pantano Wash. Trees are available for purchase through Tucson Clean & Beautiful for $225 each.

AAA holding class for older drivers

AAA Arizona is offering a Safe Driving for Mature Drivers course from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 12 at AAA's office at 8204 E. Broadway.

The course addresses problems senior drivers encounter, while suggesting best practices and techniques for driving. It's for people 55 and older.

The course costs $11.95 for AAA members and $15.95 for nonmembers.
