Civano businesses plan art show benefit

An art and quilt show co-sponsored by the Inn at Civano and other Civano businesses, including Civano Nursery, Civano Coffee House, Dizzy Lizard Gift Shop and Civano Eyecare, will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

There will be quilts on display and for sale in the community’s rotunda. Work by fiber artists and others working in glass, wood, paper, leather, beads, tiles or yarn, plus artists working in watercolor, oil and acrylic, also will be on display at the inn or in booths around the Neighborhood Center, 10501 E. Seven Generations Way.

The event also will include a silent auction and live music. There will be free root beer floats (donations will be accepted) along with food for purchase from food trucks from noon to 4 p.m. near the Neighborhood Center.

Donations and proceeds from the show will go to help Leslie Ford, a nearby resident who has had surgery for a brain tumor and needs help with her medical expenses. Check out for more information.
