Summer Storytime is in full swing at the Sabino Canyon Visitor Center, 5900 N. Sabino Canyon Road. There, a trained naturalist will read a picture book, sometimes with a song or game and always with a craft. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Topics include the Hohokam, javelinas, spiders, coyotes, toads and monsoons. The program is free and runs 9-10:30 a.m. Thursdays through July 10. 749-8700.

2. June 7

“The Pinkston Trio Reunion … And Murder,” a murder-mystery dinner theater with food, comedy and music, starts at 6:15 p.m. at Sam-Witches and Such, 6502 E. Tanque Verde Road. It’s $35. 1-310-367-5640.

3. June 11

Judging from a recent storytime at Bookmans on East Speedway, Puppet Muzik is likely to draw a crowd. The free “sing-along puppet extravaganza” runs 10 to 11 a.m. at the store, 6230 E. Speedway. 748-9555.
