Celebrity homemaker and businesswoman Martha Stewart will be a featured speaker at an annual retail industry event in Tucson.
Macy's is expected to announce her appearance next week, said Kim Brooke, a spokeswoman for the University of Arizona's Terry J. Lundgren Center for Retailing.
The Lundgren Center will host the Global Retailing Conference on April 7 and 8 at Loews Ventana Canyon. It is the 16th annual event.
Stewart founded Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc., which includes magazines, TV and radio shows, and product lines that bear her name.
Other speakers in the lineup include UA alum and Macy's CEO Terry Lundgren, fashion designer and businessman Tommy Hilfiger; Brooks Brothers CEO Claudio Del Vecchio; and Crate and Barrel CEO Barbara Turf.
Registration for the industry event costs $400 to $600 per person.
