Thirteen Pima Community College students were awarded their practical-nursing certificates on Wednesday.

A pinning ceremony was held at PCC’s Desert Vista Campus.

The students took classes for their certificates through a program at the Center for Training and Development, which is based at the campus, 5901 S. Calle Santa Cruz.

The center, which was founded as the Tucson Skills Center in 1962, has trained about 50,000 people through various programs.
