Marana High School's choir director was recognized for her leadership and service.

Sarah Ross was awarded the George C. Wilson Leadership and Service Award from the Arizona Music Educators Association. 

Ross, who has been teaching at Marana High since 2007, conducts six ensembles in concerts, collaborates with other teachers around the campus and participates in community service. 

She was previously named the Circle K Teacher of the Year in 2012, recognized as Teacher of the Year by the Marana district in 2013 and represented the state as a Yale Distinguished Music Educator.
