Adult Formation Ministries at St. Philip’s in the Hills Episcopal Church is offering three forums on Sunday, all at 10:15 a.m.

In the West Gallery, refugee Tibetan Buddhist monks, who are visiting the University of Arizona, will talk about their work on the sand compassion mandala project at the university and how it connects with the foundations of Buddhist teaching and their lives as monks in the tradition. The monks will bless donations of food with their chanting prayers.

In the East Gallery, St. Philip’s Border & Immigration Ministry presents “The Dream Is Now.” This 30-minute documentary gives voice to and puts a human face on the undocumented children of immigrants who are desperate to earn their citizenship and give back to the only country they’ve ever called “home.”

Young representatives from Scholarships A-Z will be at the screening of this documentary and will lead a question-and-answer period afterwards.

In the La Paz Room, St. Philip’s Mental Illness Ministry presents “One Sacred Nation Healing.” Ralph Romero offers help to people in recovery from mental illness, as well as their families, as they build their path to spirituality.

Romero will share his story and this approach to well-being built on Native American natural healing practices. His presentation is co-sponsored by the National Alliance on Mental Illness Southern Arizona.

The forums are free and open to the public.

St. Philip’s is at 4440 N. Campbell Ave. at East River Road. Parking is available in the north parking lot or under the solar covered parking structure on the east side.
