Show dogs, their handlers and canine-related vendors will converge at the Pima County Fairgrounds this weekend for a popular show.

The Coyote Classic is an All-Breed Confirmation, Obedience and Rally Show hosted Friday through Monday by the Tucson Kennel Club and the Greater Sierra Vista Kennel Club.

"Last year we had 2,000 dogs entered and thousands of people attending," Renee Politi, the show's publicity and advertising chairwoman, wrote in an email.

The show runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. There is no cost to attend.

A tour of the show starts at 10 a.m. every day - meet at the superintendent's table to participate. "It's like everything you ever wanted to know about a dog show," Politi said of the tour.

There will be food concessions and lots of vendors selling dog-related goods.

The fairgrounds are at 11300 S. Houghton Road.
