Williams' books will be available for purchase after her talk. It's $13.95, cash or check only.

The event, intended for adults, is free.

'Walk With a Doc' outings coming up

Pima County Medical Society Executive Director Steve Nash has a suggestion for Tucsonans: "Do a favor for your heart before and after Valentine's Day by taking a walk with a doc along the Rillito River" Saturday and Feb. 16.

The Walk With a Doc program features health walks with local doctors.

The upcoming walks will begin at 8 a.m. at the Rillito River Park at the Swan Bridge, south bank, east side.

Dr. Mark Blew, an orthopedic surgeon, will discuss "Motion Is Lotion" before Saturday's walk.

On Feb. 16, internist Gonzalo Celis will talk about diabetes.

Walkers should arrive between 7:45 and 7:55 to sign in.

Since cold air settles in river valleys, dress warmly. Bring snacks and drinks you think you'll need. Dogs on leashes are welcome.

This Saturday's walk is sponsored by the Pima County Medical Society, and the Feb. 16 walk is sponsored by Carondelet Health Network,

Both free and open to all.
