One thing the travelers saw was this carving along the Via Dolorosa, or Way of Sorrows, in Jerusalem.

Twenty-one travelers from St. Philip's and St. Andrew's churches and Temple Emanu-El made an interfaith journey to Israel May 30 to June 10.

Their trip featured visits to Christian and Jewish sites throughout Israel and teachings by the Rev. John Kitagawa and Rabbi Samuel Cohon along the way.

On Sunday the group will gather at St. Philip's in the Foothills Episcopal Church to share memories, reflections and photos from the experience. Their talk will be at 10:15 a.m. in the East Gallery at the church, 4440 N. Campbell Ave. It is free and open to the public.

According to one participant, "this trip has changed us all in some way."

A particularly memorable experience was participating in a bar mitzvah for one of the travelers at the Western Wall in Jerusalem.
