The Tucson Jewish Community Center, at 3800 E. River Road, is featuring a new show by local artist Gary Swimmer. "Line/Work: New Metal Drawings" features a collection of drawings translated into steel sculptures.

Swimmer's works are on display in the JCC's Fine Art Gallery 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday and Friday through Aug. 14.

Swimmer was born in Hungary, the only child of Holocaust survivors. He arrived in the United States as a young child. Over the years he has lived, studied and worked in New York, Baltimore, Tucson and Liege, Belgium.

The JCC Fine Art Gallery has rotating exhibits featuring local and traveling artists. Shows rotate every four to six weeks.
