Dr. Sanjay Manchanda's talk is part of a St. Francis series examining world religions.

Dr. Sanjay Manchanda will share his views on the meaning and practice of Hinduism at 11 a.m. this Sunday and on June 16 at St. Francis in the Foothills United Methodist Church, 4625 E. River Road.

The class will focus on the practical and mystical aspects of Hindu philosophy and religion. This will be an experiential class that explores how Hindu mystical understanding is connected to and relevant in a current Western and modern context.

Manchanda has been studying meditation and yoga for more than 20 years. He is also a licensed psychotherapist with a background in Jungian body-centered and transpersonal therapy and is board-certified in neurofeedback procedures.

The presentations are part of a summer-long series that the Adult Education program at St. Francis is sponsoring to facilitate deeper and wider understanding of the world's great religious traditions.

In each case a person who is involved with the specific religious perspective will lead the discussions on two successive Sundays.

The presentations are free and open to the public.
