The spring semester of adult education classes at St. Francis in the Foothills United Methodist Church continues Sunday with a program titled “The Journey Within: A Fresh Look at the Gospel.”

The presentation will be in the Church Center at 11:45 a.m. after the regular celebration services, which are at 7:45, 9 and 10:30.

Kathleen and Ed Pluess will share a lesson exploring new ways of looking at the Gospel that can help establish greater unity among people with widely differing backgrounds and viewpoints, according to the church.

Much of their presentation will involve piano, guitar and vocal music.

Also beginning Sunday will be a series titled “The Teachings of Abraham,” which involves a DVD presentation followed by discussion of the teachings of nonphysical entities that “communicate their ‘no-nonsense’ wisdom about everyday life connecting to the Divine through a woman named Esther Hicks.” The program will be led by Dan Meyer and offered at 11:45 in Rooms 32/33. The programs are free and open to the public.

St. Francis in the Foothills is at 4625 E. River Road, at North Swan Road. For more information, call the church at 299-9063.
