Desert Artisans’ Gallery, which is owned and run by local artists, is continuing its “Meet the Artist” Summer Series with watercolorist Bonnie Bedillion.

Bedillion will be at the gallery — in La Plaza Shoppes, 6536 E. Tanque Verde Road — from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday showing her painting techniques.

Exploring the color and freshness watercolor makes possible, she creates realistic paintings inspired by the unique, colorful landscapes of the Southwest.

Bedillion, a longtime resident of Tucson, has a bachelor of fine arts degree from the University of Arizona, where she focused on drawing and printmaking. She is a signature member of the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild and a juried member of Desert Artisans’ Gallery.

The demonstration is free and open to the public.

Desert Artisans’ Gallery is open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Sunday.
