Diana Madaras and staff will model clothing at Chico’s Fashion Night at Madaras Gallery, 3001 E. Skyline Drive, with a portion of purchases donated to charity and Madaras’ Art for Animals Foundation. 5-7 p.m. Free. 615-3001.


“Pure Abstracts,” a rare collection of nonrepresentational abstract artwork by Ted DeGrazia, is being presented to the public for the first time at DeGrazia Gallery in the Sun, 6300 N. Swan Road. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. daily through July 30. Free. 299-9191.

Toy store Mildred & Dildred is hosting its second annual carnival, with activities to benefit two local nonprofits, from 10 a.m. to noon. The courtyard of La Encantada will be filled with games such as “Dino Dig” and “Ring Around the Cactus.”

Kids are guaranteed to get prizes, whether they win or lose. The carnival will also include treats, face painting

and balloon animals. Each
