Handmade Cards for All Occasions - Tucson Jewish Community Center, 3800 E. River Road. Participants will make four cards each featuring four different themes (such as "get well"). Learn rubber stamping, paper piecing, distressing, and using alcohol ink markers, fibers and embellishments. Appropriate for all skill levels, beginners through advanced. Aaron Copland's America - St. Philip's in the Hills Episcopal Church, 4440 N. Campbell Ave. Multimedia concert featuring works by Aaron Copland, performed by singers, organ, chamber orchestra and actors. Concert benefits St. Philip's children's and youth ministries. A gala reception precedes the concert at 6:15 p.m. and includes preferred seating for the concert as well as an online auction. The concert is at 7:30. Gneiss (Geology) Walk - Sabino Canyon, 5700 N. Sabino Canyon Road. Volunteer naturalist Bruce Garrett and friends lead a three-hour trek over moderately difficult trails highlighting the geology of Sabino Canyon. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water, and a snack if desired. Meet at the flagpole by the visitors center. 8:30-11:30 a.m. Thursdays. "Putt-ing Kids First" Mini-Golf Tournament & Family Fun Night - Golf N' Stuff, 6503 E. Tanque Verde Road. Play 36 holes of miniature golf, with food and drink throughout the course. Top finishers receive awards and prizes. Includes go-karts, pony rides, a petting zoo, bumper boats, laser tag, face painting, batting cages and video games. Twelve-Hour Run/Walk Fundraiser - St. Gregory College Preparatory School, 3231 N. Craycroft Road. Follows a one-mile loop around the school. Participants can run or walk for as long as they like.
