The Women’s Wisdom Circle at St. Philip’s in the Hills Episcopal Church meets on the first and third Sunday of each month at 12:30 p.m. in the Children’s Chapel at St. Philip’s.

The group begins its meetings by exploring a wisdom saying, then “go where the Spirit leads.” Members use a variety of quotes from female authors, mystics, mentors, role models and leaders. The quotes are paired with photos or artwork that amplifies the quote or is completely unassociated with it so that the dissonance between the two sources sparks conversation.

The intention of using quotes and images is to draw out participants’ personal stories, wisdom and insights in a safe space for sharing.

St. Philip’s Women’s Wisdom Circle has a “sister” circle at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal Church in Atlanta, Georgia. The two circles will share quote and photo resources.

The Rev. Brigid Waszczak serves as convener of the St. Philip’s group. The Women’s Wisdom Circle is free and open to women of all denominations or no denomination. Women ages 30 and up are welcome to join; there is to charge to participate.
