Buffelgrass eradication: Remove invasive buffelgrass from sites throughout the Tucson valley. Buffelgrass not only threatens the Sonoran Desert but also homes, businesses and schools. There are various duties and options for volunteers at all skill levels.
Gift shop associate: Create a congenial atmosphere and provide excellent customer service while maintaining the day-to-day operations of gift shops. Tasks include selling merchandise, replenishing shelves and unpacking products. Gift shops are open 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Sunday.
Kittycat admin crew: Have an eye for detail and organization? Help a cat shelter with data entry, large bulk mailings, shredding and other administrative tasks on weekdays anytime between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. A criminal background check is required, and orientation is provided.
Support group facilitator: Facilitate peer support groups for children, teens and adults whose lives have been affected by serious illness or grief. Provide comfort and support through structured questions and activities. Applicants should be at least 18 years old and able to pass a background check.
