Youth football coach: Help coach youth in a coed flag football league.
Career mentor: Meet with youth a few hours each month. Be a role model by providing direction and guidance as they make decisions about education, career and life goals. Help them develop confidence by listening, encouraging and problem-solving, while helping them learn to make good choices that lead to better life opportunities.
Rehabilitation liaison: Help patients who are being treated for stroke, amputation, arthritis, brain injuries, burns and other conditions. Rehabilitation volunteers are needed to help staff members provide activities that support and facilitate the achievement of the rehabilitation goals established for patients.
Clean and sort books: Help sort and clean books for the Tucson Festival of Books and Love of Reading Week. The more we can prepare, the more will be available for children who need them.
Resource center assistant: Help job seekers write résumés and cover letters, apply for jobs and develop good interviewing skills at a northwest-side resource center. Training is provided.
