Today is the deadline to place your ballots in the mail if you want your vote tallied in the city’s primary election.

The election is little more than a beauty contest, since all of the candidates on the primary ballot are unopposed.

Ballots must arrive at the City Clerk’s Office by 7 p.m. by Tuesday, Aug. 27, to qualify for the election.

If you happen to forget to mail your ballot, you still can drop it off on Election Day at the following locations between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.:

• Donna R. Liggins Recreation Center, 2160 N. Sixth Ave.

• El Pueblo Senior Center, 101 W. Irvington Road.

• City of Tucson Parks and Recreation Administration, 900 S. Randolph Way

• Tucson City Clerk’s Elections Center, 800 E. 12th St.

Voters also can obtain a replacement ballot at the above voting locations if their ballots were lost, destroyed or never received.
