There will be a series of lane and off-ramp closures on Interstate 10 between West Ruthrauff Road and West Miracle Mile this weekend as work crews begin final paving of the interstate in the area.

Crews will pave the eastbound lanes in the newly widened portion of I-10 between Ruthrauff and Prince roads, although the closures and restrictions will extend to Miracle Mile, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

The work, along with a reduced speed limit of 45-mph in the work zone, will slow traffic and possibly cause delays.

ADOT will enact the following restrictions during the work:

  • Eastbound I-10 will be narrowed to two lanes in the area from 5 a.m. Saturday until 9 p.m.Sunday.
  • The eastbound on-ramp at Ruthrauff Road, off-ramp at Miracle Mile, and on- and off-ramps at Prince Road are closed and will remain closed until 9 p.m. Sunday. Drivers can use the off-ramp at Ruthrauff and to access Prince and Miracle Mile.
  • The eastbound I-10 right shoulder between Ruthrauff and Miracle Mile will be closed from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. today.
  • Crews will close the left shoulder of I-10 between Ruthrauff and Miracle Mile from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday.
