You can learn about Sahuarita’s long-term plans at two open-house meetings next week.
Consultants and the town’s staff will talk about the town’s general plan, streets plan and conceptual annexation plan. They’ll also answer questions and gather feedback.
The annexation plan is being drawn up by a committee of staff workers and consultants. The idea is to add roughly 60 square miles of state land to the town limits over time.
Sahuarita officials want to have land uses and streets for the new area outlined in the town’s next general plan, which is due in July 2015.
The meetings are planned for 6 p.m. Monday at Sahuarita Town Hall, 375 W. Sahuarita Center Way and 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Walden Grove High School cafeteria, 15510 S. Sahuarita Park Road.
