A garage fire at a Green Valley home caused an estimated $15,000 in damage Monday afternoon, officials said.

Firefighters were dispatched shortly before 3 p.m. to a garage fire in the 600 block of North Cedar Bend Avenue, said Battalion Chief Joey Kosiorowski, a spokesman for the Green Valley Fire District.

Twelve firefighters contained the fire within 13 minutes, said Kosiorowski. He estimated $15,000 damage to the garage.

No injuries were reported and the residents will stay with neighbors, Kosiorowski said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
