Youth in Arizona 4-H and UnitedHealthcare will partner today in healthy cooking demonstrations, gardening tips and fitness exercise at the Tucson Village Farm Harvest Festival.

The free, four-hour festival begins at 10 a.m. at Tucson Village Farm, 4210 N. Campbell Ave. The farm is a 4-H program run through the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension program.

Children can see animals, do farm chores, and learn hands-on nutrition lessons, organizers said. Families will learn about healthy eating choices and can purchase fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables grown at local farms, organizers said.

UnitedHealthcare executives will present a $30,000 check to Arizona 4-H to continue the Eat4-Health program, which teaches youth about healthy eating and the importance of exercise.
