The Ben’s Bells Project, in collaboration with the University of Arizona’s Frances McClelland Institute for Children, Youth and Families, is presenting the 2014 Kindness Conference: Building the Science of Kindness Together Aug. 22 and 23.
The conference begins Aug. 22 with a 7 p.m. talk “Kindness! Molecules, Minds and Lives,” by Matthias Mehl, Dr. Charles Raison and Thaddeus Pace. The talk will be held at the Temple of Music & Art, 330 S. Scott Ave.
RSVPs are encouraged as space is limited. There’s a suggested donation of $10.
The conference continues from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 23 at Catalina Magnet High School’s auditorium, 3645 E Pima St. Participants can learn more about Ben’s Bells’ kindness education programs and its ongoing research partnership with the UA.
Featured keynote speaker James Coan will present “Social Baseline Theory: Enlarging the Self Through Relationships and Community.” Registration is required for this event.
